Did some antiques shopping in Berrima, NSW, today. Including this key to wear as a necklace.

Happy Easter!
We are going to Sydney for 10 days, so will probably be incommunicado until we get back.
Can't wait, Sydney is gorgeous and we haven't been there for a good two years!

How am I supposed to relax in the bedroom with this freaking thing outside!?! We have a fly screen, but it still freaks me out.

Happy Shoeday to me!
I'm a week early but today I treated myself to a new pair of boots for my birthday. I've been eyeing these off since about January when I saw them lined up with all the Winter stock at the client's HQ.
Sadly, I cannot take these little puppies out for a spin as I experience sharp pains in my right (injured) ankle when I wear, so I'll have to wait for probably another couple of weeks before I can wear them out. Sadface.
For the footwear aficionados, they're RMK, leather upper and lining, and RRP $199.95

The type of people I work with...
I had to get a colleague to courier something to me at the photographer's studio today. I think he might have been a bit over-specific with the address..

Putting a spanner in the works
If you've been following my Twitter you'll know that I very stupidly injured myself at Parkour last Wednesday - first degree tear in my right ankle :(Luckily it seems to be healing going down, but I'll be out from exercise for at least another week. I'm also supposed to keep my leg elevated at all times, hence I've not spent any time at the computer at home this weekend. I've got some stuff to post from Supanova so hopefully I'll put that up this week.

Fashionable purchase at Supanova
I bought this sweet skirt at Supanova on Sunday, and wore it to work yesterday with the Pulp Noir shoes from about 2 Winters ago and some stockings that I didn't remember I had until recently. I forgot the name of the store, but will edit to add this later when I find the business card. The store was called One Day in Paradise, and they have a load of cute stuff.
I love the bustle so much!!

Turkish in Brisbane - Caravanserai in West End
A couple of weeks ago we had a lovely meal at Caravanserai at Dornoch Terrace in West End. I have never been to Turkey, so I cannot speak to the authenticity of the food, however, I can speak as to the general tastiness of it. We were a group of 8, so we got the regular banquet for all of us - a mix of vegetarian and meat. The entrees were a mix of dips and what I guess is the Turkish equivalent of Italian antipasti - marinated artichokes, mushrooms etc. The mains included kofta (meatballs), chicken skewers, haloumi, couscous, seafood pilaf and yummy veges and salads. The meat was tender and juicy (unlike another Turkish restaurant I've been to at South Bank that shall remain nameless); seasoned to perfection, with sauces that were full of flavour and just the right amount of spiciness. Sadly I didn't take any photos of the food; I was so intent on eating ;)
I only remembered to snap a few pics towards the end of the night - love the way the (yummy, albeit a little sweet for my taste) Chai latte was presented (right image). The dessert encompassed standard Turkish fare - baklava, Turkish delight, some other things I don't remember but were very tasty.
We were seated out the back balcony which is lovely and breezy, with a great atmosphere - a little dark for my personal liking, but also cosy.
This is the second time we've eaten here and we will definitely come back. Very handy on-street parking, too.

Crafting Lite
A few weekends ago we headed down the Gold Coast to see my goddaughter and her siblings, whom we haven't seen in quite a while. We did a little craft project to start the day off - a set of pre-cut wooden blocks to stick together into 3-dimensional objects. My goddaughter and I worked on this jet fighter.
